RIDGELAND, Miss. (AP) - Ridgeland police say a pharmacy technician was stabbed with a syringe at a Ridgeland Walmart on Thursday.
Police Lt. John Neal tells WAPT-TV in Jackson (https://bit.ly/1awttol) that Joshua Bobo is facing charges of armed robbery, because he allegedly used the hypodermic needle as a weapon, aggravated assault and unarmed carjacking.
Neal said the man bought a package of syringes. When the tech tried to stop him from getting into the secure area of the pharmacy, she was stabbed in hand.
Neal says Bobo got a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and drank half of it.
Neal says Bobo left the pharmacy and tried to steal a car in the parking lot but was arrested.
Bobo was treated at a hospital and released. He is being held in the Madison County jail.
