NEWPORT, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire town of Newport has a new skating hut, but it’s in need of colder weather to be put to use.

The ice surface on the Newport Common rink was shaping up earlier this month until it fell victim to warm weather and rain. With cooler temperatures in the forecast this weekend, the flooding of the ice rink can restart.

The Eagle Times reports (https://bit.ly/1eQ4ktj) the 11-by-21-foot hut sits at the north end of the common and replaces one that was over 30 years old. The new structure was built by the Howe family.
