BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A Hardin man is expected to plead guilty to second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a St. Xavier man whose body was found near a fishing access site on the Crow Reservation.
The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1hjqC7f) 40-year-old John Harold Holds III is scheduled to enter his plea Tuesday in the Nov. 2 death of 42-year-old Franklin Red Wolf.
Court records say Holds told investigators that Red Wolf was giving him a ride home when he began making advances toward him. He said he fought with Red Wolf when he continued the advances.
A woman told investigators that Hold walked into her house at about 3 a.m. on Nov. 2 and told her “a guy made advances toward him and he cut him in the neck.” She said he was carrying two bloody knives.
