RICHMOND, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont road has been closed twice, first for flooding, then for a barn fire.
Vermont State Police say barn fire was reported at about 5:35 a.m. Monday on U.S. Route 2 in Richmond. The road has been closed from the Richmond 4 Corners to Cochran Road in Jonesville. The fire could be seen from Interstate 89.
The barn was not occupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Damages are estimated at over $200,000.
Authorities are investigating the cause; the fire is not considered to be suspicious.
Police said the same area was closed Sunday morning for flooding.
