SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - A central New York man has pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter for the car crash in suburban Syracuse that killed his passenger last summer.
The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports (https://bit.ly/1hiOEiH ) that Glenwood Carr of Baldwinsville entered his plea Monday in Onondaga County Court.
Authorities say Carr was drunk when he crashed a vehicle in the town of Clay on the night of Aug. 11. Carr fled the scene on foot, leaving behind 40-year-old Steven Sears trapped inside the overturned car. Sears, of Phoenix in Oswego County, died at the scene.
Carr, who turns 43 on Sunday, surrendered to police two days after the crash.
The judge promised to sentence car to six to 12 years in state prison in March.
