Former “Partridge Family” star David Cassidy faces his third DUI charge after failing a field sobriety test in Los Angeles on Friday night.
The 63-year-old former teen idol blew .19% — twice the legal limit — on an alcohol test, California Highway Patrol said in a statement Saturday.
The CHP said Mr. Cassidy was initially pulled over for making an illegal right-hand turn at a red light, when the officer noticed “the odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from the vehicle.”
Mr. Cassidy was booked in a Los Angeles jail early Saturday and freed on $15,000 bond several hours later, CNN reported.
The actor was arrested last year in New York for the same offense, as well as once in Florida back in 2010.
He’s best known for his role in the 1970s show as Keith Partridge, the eldest of five children who performed as a family musical act and traveled to gigs in a repainted school bus.
