WASHINGTON (AP) - Police in Washington have identified a man who was hit and killed by a garbage truck in the city in January.
Police identified the man Sunday as 41-year-old Jose Flores and said he had no fixed address.
Flores was hit by a garbage truck in northwest Washington in the early morning of Jan. 17.
Police say the garbage truck was traveling westbound on I Street around 4:30 a.m. It then turned left onto southbound 13th Street, where the truck hit Flores, who was walking in a crosswalk. The driver continued southbound for approximately half a block when the driver realized he had struck someone and called 911.
