BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Veteran lobbyist Dawn Starns has been named Louisiana director of the National Federation of Independent Business.
The group has an estimated 4,300 members in Louisiana.
Starns, who holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Louisiana State University, most recently was executive director of the Capitol Region Legislative Delegation and CAP PAC LLC.
She also managed the Legislators’ Charity Fund, which raised money to help the homeless as well as children’s programs and a local food bank.
