LAS VEGAS (AP) - A search official says about 350 applications have been received and he plans to contact 32 people who’ve applied for the vacant Nevada Athletic Commission executive director position.

Nevada Department of Business and Industry chief Bruce Breslow told the commission on Friday that 16 of the 32 he’ll contact have administrative experience in boxing and mixed martial arts and have worked with a commission or public body before.

No names have been made public.

Keith Kizer stepped down Jan. 10 from the $95,000 job after eight years heading the state office regulating boxing and mixed martial arts.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1eDT6tO ) that Breslow plans to submit about five names to the commission for interviews next month.

The commission plans to have a new executive director hired by April.
