OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) - The Clackamas County sheriff’s office says a man suspected of fatally shooting a county road weighmaster remains at large Friday.

A dispatcher says officers continue to look for 41-year-old Dirck Morgan White of Edgefield, Wash.

He was wanted on an arrest warrant from Pierce County, Wash., for a weapons violation.

The Clackamas County sheriff’s office says White was driving a pickup truck and trailer loaded with firewood Thursday when the weighmaster pulled him over on Highway 224 near Boring, about 25 miles southeast of Portland.

The shooting victim was identified Friday as Grady Waxenfelter, a county employee since 1987 and weighmaster since 2005.

The suspect may be driving a 2004 silver Mercedes-Benz with the Washington license plate ANB7070.

The manhunt has been hampered by heavy snow in the Portland area.
