NEW YORK (AP) - A Bronx boss accused of throwing coffee into a worker’s eyes has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor menacing.

Gary Perlson entered the plea Thursday. His company, Carnegie Valet Cleaning Corp., does laundry for high-end hotels.

According to the Daily News (https://nydn.us/1exLsB7 ) a related civil cases alleges that the incident stemmed from worker Jose Luis Diaz’s refusal to take a bribe to stop union organizing in 2009.

The judge sentenced Perlson to three months of anger management and 10 days of community service.

His lawyer says the plea emphasizes the defense’s unwavering position that no assault occurred. He says Perlman looks forward to his day in court for the civil case.
