Man arrested in death of girlfriend’s stepfather

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Police say a 27-year-old Lake Charles man has been arrested after he allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend’s stepfather.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers says the shooting happened Thursday.

Myers says Jonathan Guillory and 43-year-old Felton Boutte Jr. had an argument that turned physical and was broken up by a family member.

She says Guillory then got a gun and allegedly shot Boutte, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Myers said Guillory faces a second-degree murder charge.

It was unclear whether Guillory has an attorney.
