PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon Department of Transportation says trucks have been plowing and sanding freeways and highways in the Portland area overnight and they remain snow-packed.

ODOT says crews will continue working around the clock, but drivers are advised to delay your trip or take transit or walk.

Drivers who do take to the Portland roads Friday should be ready to use chains and expect delays.
