FRANKENMUTH, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a train got stuck in snow near Frankenmuth, blocking traffic at an area crossing.

The Saginaw News reports (https://bit.ly/LEeKkL ) a portion of M-83 in Saginaw County was closed Friday morning about 75 miles northwest of Detroit.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is asking motorists to use a detour.



Southern Michigan got up to 8 inches of fresh snow on Tuesday and Wednesday. Blowing snow and ice have caused continued problems.
