WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) - A southwestern Pennsylvania school district superintendent has been charged with driving under the influence.

Court records say 54-year-old Paul Kasunich of Sewickley was charged Wednesday with DUI and two traffic violations stemming from an incident Sunday, when he was pulled over by a police officer Ohio Township.

Kasunich is superintendent of the Trinity Area School District in Washington County.

He did not immediately return a call seeking comment. School district solicitor Dennis Makel said the district will investigate but he otherwise declined to comment.

Kasunich is due in court for a preliminary hearing on March 13.
