CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The University of Charleston is offering a new bachelor’s degree in health promotion.

Students will use the degree to educate others on healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.

The university says students can graduate with the degree in three-and-a-half years. It includes a 12-credit internship during the final semester.



The university says federal labor statistics showing jobs for health educators and health workers are expected to grow by 21 percent through the year 2022.
