RIALTO, Calif. (AP) - A former president of a San Bernardino County school board has been arrested after authorities allegedly discovered child pornography on his home computer.

The Los Angeles Times reports (https://lat.ms/LPRnW4 ) 65-year-old Daniel Lee Mays, who headed the Rialto School Board from 1999 to 2008, was taken into custody Tuesday.

The investigation began after Mays brought his computer to a repair shop where a technician allegedly discovered the porn.

Rialto police Sgt. Richard Royce says the children in the images appeared to be between 5 and 12 years old.

Royce says a search of Mays’ home uncovered additional images of child porn on hard drives and computer discs.

He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
