SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A spokeswoman for Kraft Foods says the company is appalled that a Spokane bar is using its Kool-Aid brand for a drink name that protesters say trivializes rape.
The newly opened Daiquiri Factory sells a drink called “Date Grape Koolaid.”
Kraft spokeswoman Caroline Krajewski says the company intends to take action on the unauthorized use of its Kool-Aid trademark.
The Spokesman-Review (https://bit.ly/1br33YF) reports the Daiquiri Factory isn’t backing down to protesters who gathered outside the bar last weekend to complain about the drink name.
A post on the bar’s Facebook page says 10 gallons of the drink were served Saturday night.
