PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The National Weather Service is warning of potentially slippery roads across Rhode Island as a storm moves in with up to 5 inches of snow.

The Weather Service is expecting 2 to 5 inches of snow in the South County area on Monday and 1 to 3 inches in Providence, Newport and the rest of the state. Rhode Island could see several more inches of snow on Tuesday night.

No schools in the state are reporting cancellations, late openings or early dismissals.



T.F. Green Airport in Warwick says six flights have been cancelled Monday morning and afternoon.
