BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - About a dozen passengers have been evacuated from a bus in Birmingham that began taking on water when it traveled down a flooded road.

Birmingham Water Works spokesman Binnie Myles told WBMA-TV that a ruptured water main flooded a road in north Birmingham Monday morning.

Passengers were evacuated through the bus’ emergency exit and no injuries have been reported. Passengers were transferred to another bus and the one that became stuck on the flooded street has been towed from the scene.
