GOLD BAR, Wash. (AP) - A Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman says a man in his 70s who reportedly began shooting inside his house in Gold Bar, Wash., prompted a brief closure of nearby U.S. Highway 2 on Friday evening.

The Daily Herald reports (https://is.gd/mv9b2Z ) that spokeswoman Shari Ireton says the man put the gun away within about 20 minutes and began cooperating with officers.

No one was injured.
