GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) - Police in the east Portland suburb of Gresham say an SUV driver traveled 600 feet down light rail tracks before getting stuck on the inner rail.

A man identified as 44-year-old Butch Stuckey of Portland was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving and methamphetamine possession.

The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/mWzOzK ) that eastbound Blue Line MAX train service was interrupted for about 30 minutes during the Thursday morning commute as the vehicle was towed away and the tracks inspected for damage.

Gresham police also say the SUV doesn’t belong to Stuckey.
