OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - A Saltillo man has been found guilty in federal court of enticing a minor female for sex.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1fUmMxW ) that Gary Waddle was convicted Tuesday by a jury in U.S. District Court in Oxford. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Waddle was among a group of more than a dozen men charged in a sex-sting operation out of Lee County.

Christopher Caldwell of Robertsdale, Ala. is the next slated to fight his enticement charges in court. His trial is set for April 21.

The sting involved a trained law enforcement officer posing as a 15-year-old female on the Internet. The online persona lures the men to meet her.

The charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
