SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office says a math teacher at Northwood High School has been arrested for improper behavior with a student.
Sheriff Steve Prator, in a news release, said 26-year-old Jared Honea, of Shreveport, was booked Thursday into the Caddo Correctional Center for indecent behavior with a juvenile following an investigation by the sheriff’s Youth Services Detectives James Moore and Jared Marshall. Bond information wasn’t immediately available. It was not immediately known if he has an attorney.
During the investigation, Prator said detectives learned that Honea had exchanged, since January, several Snapchat messages with a 15-year-old student. In those conversations, he allegedly asked for nude photographs of the girl and made inappropriate sexual references.
Moore says the girl sent him photos of herself in a bra and underwear.
