ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Republican David Craig has announced his first paid media ad as part of his campaign in the Republican primary for governor.

Craig announced Thursday that the 30-second radio spot will run through March on Baltimore news talk radio stations. He says the ad highlights his proposal to reduce Maryland’s individual income tax, with an eye toward eventually eliminating it.

In the ad, Craig says he believes cutting the personal income tax will jump start economic growth and create jobs in the state.

Craig, who is the Harford County executive, announced his plan to cut the personal income tax earlier this month.

Maryland’s primary is June 24.
