BRUCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - State police say three vehicles have collided on a southeastern Michigan highway, killing two people and injuring five others.

Lt. Michael Shaw says the crash happened about 3:30 p.m. Thursday on Michigan-53 in Macomb County’s Bruce Township. The site is near Romeo, about 30 miles north of Detroit.

Shaw says troopers are working to find out how the crash occurred. He says he’ll release the victims’ names after their families are notified.

Shaw says weather wasn’t a factor in the crash.
