PARAMUS, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a woman who was driving the wrong way on a northern New Jersey highway collided head-on with two other vehicles.

Paramus police tell The Record (https://bit.ly/1hhsJcs) that 22-year-old Natalie Garcia of Garfield was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving following Tuesday night’s crash. She’s also expected to face additional charges stemming from the crash, which occurred shortly before midnight on Route 4.

Police say Garcia had left a bar shortly before the crash occurred, then started driving westbound in the highway’s eastbound lanes. She struck one car a short time later, then collided with the second vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle was treated at a hospital for undisclosed injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
