LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Officials say the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a partner in the new Digital Lab for Manufacturing.

The $320 million advanced manufacturing collaboration will be led by the University of Illinois-affiliated UI Labs in Chicago, as announced Tuesday by President Barack Obama.

UNL officials say researchers will get to work with colleagues from 22 other universities. As a university partner, UNL faculty members will be able to compete for funding through the lab and join Nebraska manufacturers or other industry partners in proposing research projects.
