MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have named a Janesville man as a person of interest in the shooting death of a woman in her south-central Wisconsin home.

The Dane County sheriff’s office said Wednesday the 39-year-old man is being held in the Rock County Jail on unrelated charges.

A family member found says 43-year-old Cheryl Gilberg in her home in the Village of Mazomanie (may-zoh-MAY’-nee) Sunday evening. The medical examiner says Gilberg was shot in the head. Her death was ruled a homicide.

The Wisconsin State Journal (https://bit.ly/1bMYyKd ) reports Rock County prosecutors filed drug possession and bail jumping charges against the man on Tuesday.
