OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - The Thurston County coroner’s office says a 2-year-old Olympia-area girl who died after being taken to a hospital from a residence is a homicide victim.

The Olympian reports (https://is.gd/vUBjIb ) that Coroner Gary Warnock says Kelsy Hachel died of multiple internal injuries due to blunt force abdominal trauma.

Thurston County sheriff’s Sgt. Ray Brady said Wednesday there have been no arrests but the investigation is moving forward.

Sheriff’s deputies and medics responded early Tuesday to a 911 call from a residence. The caller said the 2-year-old was unconscious and was receiving CPR.

Brady says the child lived with her mother and another family at the residence. After the death, Child Protective Services took custody of the six other children who lived there.
