EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A rural Snohomish County, Wash., woman who says she suffered a broken leg when her husband lunged and fell on top of her told deputies she called for help for nearly three days, hoping neighbors might hear her, before the man called 911.
The Daily Herald reports (https://is.gd/NmaIQ0 ) that an aid crew found the woman with a black eye and a broken leg, lying on a couch. The 51-year-old woman told sheriff’s deputies she was injured about 1 a.m. on Feb. 19 after the couple argued. She said she couldn’t move on her own and told deputies her husband took her cell phone and refused to summon help, saying the swelling in her leg would subside.
Late on the third day, the man called for help.
Deputies arrived at the home late Friday. They say 58-year-old Shaun T. Horn was arrested for investigation of assault, interfering with reporting a domestic violence assault and unlawful imprisonment. The woman was taken to a hospital.
