CHICAGO (AP) - Gov. Pat Quinn is headlining a summit on states recovering from natural disasters.
The Monday event will be held in Washington, D.C. It’s hosted by the National Journal.
Quinn has been in the nation’s capital for several days attending meetings at the White House through the Democratic Governors Association.
The Chicago Democrat’s keynote address will focus on ways for local governments to secure funding.
Parts of Illinois were hit hard by deadly tornadoes late last year. Many communities were hit by floods last spring also.
