LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) - Fire officials in Longview, Wash., say a high-speed accident involving multiple vehicles has sent at least seven patients to a hospital and shut down an area highway for several hours.

Fire Lt. Blake Tomlinson says the crashes happened shortly before 7 p.m. Friday on westbound Tennant Way.

The Daily News reports (https://is.gd/AoFFOv ) that Tomlinson says firefighters had to cut victims out of at least three vehicles. Wreckage was spread out over a quarter mile.



St. John Medical Center spokesman Randy Querin says one person was treated and released, one was sent to another hospital and five were still at St. John on Friday night.
