CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Precipitation ranging from rain to a wintry mix of sleet, snow and ice is making for a messy, slippery commute in New Hampshire.

Heavy rain, combined with melting snow from a warm-up on Thursday, has left a lot of water on the roads Friday morning.

A number of schools have delayed opening and some have closed for the day.

The National Weather Service says more rain is expected throughout Friday, with highs in the mid-30s and low-40s.
