KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) - A Klamath County couple have been charged with manslaughter in the death of one of their 18-month-old twins.

The Herald and News reported Friday (https://bit.ly/1bSaPxw) the two are also charged with criminal mistreatment and child neglect. Authorities say their five children were locked in their rooms 14 hours a day, from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Sheriff Frank Skrah says the body of Jeffrey Hevener was found Sunday. The medical examiner ruled the cause of death was accidental strangulation.



The parents are 28-year-old Danielle Hevener and 26-year-old Thomas Hevener. They were arrested Thursday.

The surviving twin and children ages 7, 5 and 2 are in the custody of the Department of Human Services.
