DUMMERSTON, Vt. (AP) - A Christmas tree farm in Dummerston, Vt., that was up for sale is getting new owners.

The Vermont Land Trust said Thursday that the owners of the Walker Farm in town will take ownership of the 138-acre Elysian Hills. The Christmas tree business had been run by Bill and Mary Lou Schmidt for about 35 years.

The Brattleboro Reformer reports (https://bit.ly/1bI41RH) Jack and Karen Manix plan to keep the Christmas tree business going. They’re also considering an organic, pick-your-own strawberries operation.

Elysian Hills also features about 100 acres of managed woodland, which includes 20 acres of sugarbush and recreational trails.
