WESTLAND, Mich. (AP) - A man has been charged with fatally shooting his 72-year-old wife at their home in suburban Detroit.
Westland police say 76-year-old Marvin Jones told a neighbor that he had shot Sandra Jones. She was found in her bed Thursday.
Jones appeared in court Friday on a first-degree murder charge and was returned to jail without bond. It wasn’t known if he has an attorney yet.
Westland Police Chief Jeff Jedrusik says Jones indicated that he and his wife had an argument. He says people who know Jones described him as having symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.
