KINGSTON, N.Y. (AP) - The city of Kingston has issued a three-day ban on street parking while it grapples with all of the snow.

Mayor Shayne Gallo issued the 72-hour ban starting at 9 a.m. Thursday.

The city is working to improve access for emergency vehicles and prevent flooding from storm drains.

Any cars parked on the streets during that period will be ticketed and towed.

The Times Herald-Record (https://bit.ly/1jL3S0x ) says the mayor also has asked residents to restrict their travels as much as possible.
