SEATTLE (AP) - Interim Seattle Police Chief Harry Bailey has changed the discipline imposed on an officer who threatened a journalist.

Instead of a day without pay, Bailey ordered a training day for Officer John Marion who became furious last July with the journalist who was taking pictures of an incident and threatened to harass him.

The one-day suspension for misconduct was ordered last month by former interim Chief Jim Pugel (PEW’-jel).

Bailey told The Seattle Times (https://bit.ly/1oXeWeC) Thursday he’s reviewing more than 25 pending grievances and hopes to clean them up before a new chief is expected to be named by the end of April.
