EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - Prosecutors have charged an Arlington, Wash., woman with second-degree domestic violence murder after detectives dug up the concrete floor under a garage and found human remains.

The Snohomish County medical examiner hasn’t yet released an identity for the remains or a cause of death.

The Daily Herald reports (https://is.gd/sKoHy8) the charge against 48-year-old Michele Donohue was filed Wednesday in District Court. Prosecutors have until March 7 to refile in Superior Court.

Donohue’s ex-husband, Byron Wright, disappeared in the fall of 2004. Investigators believe Donohue stabbed him after he left her for a younger woman. She reportedly told his family, friends and bosses at Boeing that he had run off with his girlfriend.

Court papers say the woman told a different story to her current husband and two buddies when she recruited them to move Wright’s body a few years ago.

Court documents say Donohue denies killing Wright and maintains he left her for another woman.
