CONVERSE, La. (AP) - A 19-year-old from Converse has died in a single-vehicle accident Saturday in Sabine Parish.
Louisiana State Police say in a news release that accident occurred about 9:15 p.m. on Louisiana Highway 174 west of Converse.
State police say Cody James Meaux was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police say it appears Meaux lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway crossed back onto the road and ran off the left side and collided with a tree and burst into flames.
