WASHINGTON (AP) - The latest snowfall is delaying school openings in the mid-Atlantic region.

Many schools in Maryland, Delaware and northern Virginia are opening late Tuesday. A few local governments are also opening their doors late.

The National Weather Service has received reports of snow throughout the region. Reports from spotters range from less than 1 inch in parts of Virginia to more than 1 inch in Maryland and 2 inches in Delaware.
