MALIBU, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a worker trimming trees at a Malibu mansion has been electrocuted after touching a power line.

City News Service says the man was 25 feet up a tree on Monday morning, lopping off branches, when apparently the pole of the tool he was using touched the power line.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Philip Brooks says the man was still in the tree when firefighters arrived. They got him down but the 50-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brooks says he was a part-time worker for a local landscaping company.

His name hasn’t been released.
