LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A series of seminars by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is looking for the next “big idea.”

The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources’ Big Idea Seminars begin on Wednesday, with a presentation from Rodger Bybee, chair of the Science Forum and Science Expert Group for the Next Generation Sciences Standards. He will talk about science education initiatives that emphasize the effective management of food, water and natural resources.

Organizer Tonia Durden says the seminar will build on the national science agenda and the applied research being conducted across the state, university system and UNL Extension Centers.
