LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Little Rock police say a 15-year-old girl was killed in a shooting on the city’s southwest side and a suspect has been arrested in the case.
Police spokesman Sidney Allen says the girl was found in a car outside a convenience store shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday. Allen says someone opened fire on the car after those in the car did an unspecified prank on the suspect’s home.
Allen says 15-year-old Adrian Broadway was shot in the head and died later at Arkansas Children’s Hospital while 18-year-old Dshone Nelson suffered minor cuts from broken glass and that three others in the car were not injured. Nelson’s name was earlier spelled as Deshon.
Allen says the suspect was arrested for first-degree murder, committing a terroristic act and for aggravated assault.
