THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Roman Catholic Bishop Shelton Fabre of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux will be a guest lecturer at Nicholls State University on Feb. 26.

His lecture, titled “African Americans: Ongoing Strengths and Engendered Hopes,” will be at 2:30 p.m. in Le Bijou Theater at the Nicholls Student Union.

The bishop also will celebrate Mass at 12:15 p.m. that day in the chapel of the St. Thomas Aquinas Center on the university’s Thibodaux campus.



The lecture is free and open to the public. It is part of events at Nicholls State honoring African American History Month.
