ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The ownership of a former Anchorage bar and one of its bouncers have been convicted of misdemeanor assault for injuries suffered by a patron.

The Anchorage Daily News (https://bit.ly/NDCRBZ) reports a jury Tuesday convicted ABandM Enterprises, a defunct corporation that owned Rumrunner’s Old Towne Bar and Grille, and employee Murville Lampkin.

They were acquitted of felony assault.

A patron, Johnny Brown, in 2011 was removed from Rumrunner’s dance floor and taken outside. Witnesses say he punched Lampkin and was returned to the bar in handcuffs.

The head of bar security struck Brown twice with a forearm and later pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment.

Prosecutor James Fayette says Lampkin punched Brown as they rode an elevator to the bar basement.

Brown has a pending lawsuit against ABandM.

Rumrunner’s closed in 2012.
