BEAVERTON, Ore. (AP) - A police spokesman in the Portland suburb of Beaverton says an officer who was confronted by an armed man during a domestic disturbance call shot and wounded the man.
Officer Mike Rowe said police had responded to a home Tuesday afternoon. The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/DSLvhS) that once they were inside, officers were confronted by the 28-year-old man.
Rowe says the wounded man was taken to a hospital with what were described as serious but apparently non-life-threatening injuries. The man was not immediately identified.
The spokesman says no one else was injured.
