OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) - Oregon authorities investigating the killing of a county regulatory worker say the suspect is also wanted for questioning in the rape of a child in Washington state.

The Clackamas County sheriff’s office said Monday that rewards totaling $7,500 have been posted for information leading to the arrest of 41-year-old Dirck Morgan White.

The sheriff’s office named him as the suspect in Friday’s shooting death of 47-year-old Grady Waxenfelter.

Waxenfelter is the county weighmaster and had stopped a truck hauling wood for not having a license.

A warrant for White’s arrest has been issued in Pierce County, Wash., for a firearms violation. The Clackamas sheriff’s office said he is also wanted for questioning in an abuse case in the same county.
