CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - Allegiant Air is ending flights from Charlottesville to Orlando after a little more than three months in the market.

The Daily Progress reports (https://bit.ly/1gAPWsu ) that the discount airline will suspend service from Charlottesville Albemarle Airport on Feb. 23. Allegiant began service there on Nov. 21.

Allegiant spokesman Justin Ralenkotter said in an email that demand on the route simply wasn’t strong enough.

Allegiant offered twice-weekly service from CHO to Sanford International Airport near Orlando. Customers with reservations beyond Feb. 23 will be contacted directly by Allegiant and will receive a full refund.
